Harvest Homes

Who we are

I am a woman who witnessed her two grandmothers lose their paid-off homes in their fragile and infirm old age. I am a woman whose family was homeless for a time during her childhood. I am a woman who has lived in several states and owned property in three. My idea of home has been formed by all these experiences. In short, home is wherever I am, and home ownership is temporary, never permanent.

Our vision

Overall, my vision is to build sustainable communities. In this pursuit, I provide educational services – workshops, tours, consultations – to help people along their real estate journey. Knowledge, understanding and context are important for any forward motion to be beneficial and lasting.

Our commitment

As I build my own knowledge base within the realm of real estate, I recognize the importance of my historic and current operational capacities. I have been a boarder, renter, leaser, sub-letter, owner, landlady and investor. On my first investment property, I became my own general contractor, designer, laborer, and carpenter. None of these roles were intentional or wanted, but they were extremely beneficial and educational. My commitment to my progress and everyone I work with, is to get the job done. To do whatever needs to be done to deliver a great finished project.

My goal of building sustainable communities across the country was fleshed out while working on my first investment property which was a gut renovation. Being hands-on taught me things and gave insights that never would have crossed my mind had I only written checks for the work. I’m committed to learning and building on every lesson to fulfill the vision.

Air BnB

Air BnB is a good entry point for sharing your property, creating income from your property and being a landlord. Hosting strangers will show you your boundaries quickly. Once your boundaries are set, operating your home as a work-from-home-business becomes easier.

Workshops
